Otto Lindig was a student of the Bauhaus, Weimar, at the pottery workshop housed in one of the wings of the castle in Dornburg on the Saale. In 1923 the workshop was divided into a workshop for instruction and a workshop for production, under Lindig and Theodor Bogler.
